Nighttime fountain

Here’s a nighttime view of the fountain in front of the main medical building here at the City of Hope.  Slightly crooked (hey, it was nighttime) and possibly slightly fuzzy (see above) Great Art courtesy of the exclusive iPhone-cam and part of my famous Statue series.

It was a very successful weekend!  LRN4 has finished chemotherapy.  She got the first massive dose on Saturday and the second and last one today.  The transplant is only three days away!  I can’t wait.

She’s been doing very well, all things considered.  She was really doped up on Saturday, which, when combined with the extreme amounts of fluid they were giving her, made it a very tough day.  But it could have been worse.  Much worse.  She’s doing great!  She snapped back into it sometime in the afternoon.  There’s been a bit of nausea over the last few days, but it’s amazing how little.  She amazes me.

Otherwise, life is quiet.  The kids are all maintaining – some better than others right now, but they’ll all be just fine.  We’re needing to concentrate essentially all our efforts on LRN4’s recovery right now, so that’s what we’re doing.  She’ll be back to giving to others in a little while.

And this post was all about LRN4 again.  My Loyal Readers will just have to deal with it.  I’ll leave my Loyal Readers with this exciting Morrowlife Employment Agency job opportunity: photobombing sloth!

See you tomorrow.
